'Squid Game' was most-watched among Netflix global dramas for over a week.

The Korean drama series, featuring dazzling visuals and stunning moments of violence, has captured the attention of millions across the globe.SEOUL, South Korea -- In just nine episodes,"Squid Game," a survival drama, has won over Netflix viewers worldwide.

"Squid Game"'s premise is that of a classic survival death game, except each game is based on Korean children's games. Over 400 individuals revealed to be in enormous debt, are invited to participate in a mysterious game where they are forced to risk their lives in a series of survival-of-the-fittest rounds for the opportunity to win a $38.5 million prize.

Dong-hyuk Hwang, director and writer of"Squid Game," revealed at the online roundtable interview hosted by Netflix Korea on Tuesday that the secret to"Squid Game" is its"simplicity." "'Squid Game' succeeded in balancing out the intricacies of cultural differences against global issues," Duk-hyun Jung, a Korean cultural critic, told ABC News."Though the specific Korean childhood games presented in the story may be unfamiliar to global viewers, the series managed to present the universal issues of capitalism and an ever-competitive society in a way that's easy to understand.

nbc sorry

I couldn't last 10 min watching it...shit was trash!

It is better to integrate abc and cbs.

Says the Frontman

I resent that they used an American guy as the creepiest freak. It’s an overdone stereotype!!! He should have obviously been German.

the bank account in the show was one of the staff's and he is getting 456 Korean won from fans(?). The director knew that having the phone number will be troublesome but he thought getting free tips from fans would be great. He is a disgrace to his generation in Korea.

You can see this 50-year-old director's mind. How ugly and shallow his mind is. Also, the phone number in the show went viral, and the real owner of it had to deal with tons of phone calls and messages out of nowhere but the director didn't give a rat's ass about it. Moreover

polscifreeak 🤔 wonder of Will is tilting the world on its axis again!

It’s what she deserves 💅

I figured I wouldn’t make it through one episode - not really my type of show. So wrong - I ended watching the complete series in two days. What a ride.

Very nice album. If you lie to you, I will give you all my glass beads. Just go and see it.

I hope don't make season 2

So, it's just TheHungerGames again. TV SquidGame

Amazing

Netflix CEO: Squid Game might be our 'biggest show ever' - CNN Video'Squid Game' has captivated audiences worldwide, making it the number one show on Netflix. The Korean fictional drama takes the concept of 'winner-take-all' to another level. ОК One of the most brutal shows I've ever watched. Not for the faint hearted. Cruel, yet does illustrate how humans behave when their lives are on the line and money to he had! Wondering if there will be a sequel? It’s sad to see so many people desensitized to cruelty. What does it say of humankind that it’s number 1? That people actually enjoy watching others die as the main theme of the show.
