News and results from Saskatoon teams and athletes this weekend, including WHL, Huskies soccer and hockey, and U of S softball.

Saskatchewan are now 5-3 in the Canada West season and will play at home next weekend, taking on the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns on Saturday and the University of Calgary Dinos on Sunday. Both games will be played at 2 p.m. at Griffiths Stadium.scored at 83:46 to bring Saskatchewan to a 1-1 tie against the host Spartans on Friday and that score would carry through to the end of the game.

Meanwhile, at home, the women’s team lost 4-3 in overtime to the U18 Team Sask on Friday, but shut out the Lakeland Rustlers on Saturday 6-0. The Canada West season will officially start next weekend with both teams facing off the University of Manitoba Bisons. The men’s team will be on the road for games on Thursday and Friday, while the women’s team will host Manitoba at Merlis Belsher Place on Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m.
