Amid the coronavirus pandemic, people are having to find different ways to mourn their loved ones. Some are video conferencing family, or livestreaming funerals. Others are delaying memorials.

Online video conferencing is just one way mourning families are learning to cope and connect at a time when large funeral gatherings are strongly discouraged because of social distancing guidelines."Some cemeteries are trying to limit the number of people who can attend a graveside service and keep those numbers small," says Bob Achermann, who heads the California Funeral Directors Association."This is to protect the family and the funeral staff, who are obviously exposed as well.

"It's a real challenge," he says."It's a time when people want to show that affection and emotion with their family members and [refraining from hugs] is not something you intuitively think about.

His company has seen a jump in the number of funeral homes using and requesting the service, Montgomery says,"but also the amount of people watching those livestreams, I would say, has easily doubled if not tripled." "We've seen services where you have the spouse of the decedent and maybe a close friend or two or three in this large chapel," Montgomery says."But then there are 80 people watching online. So they're there, they're just not there physically."

How about reporting that , CNN ? I wish their punk-ass's would come and arrest anybody in my church. definitely it is the US gov not report the virus seriouly at first and only treat it as a flu. no transparency !!!

Social distancing may have helped California slow the virus and avoid New York's fateThe coronavirus continues to spread rapidly in the Bay Area and Seattle, but so far at a rate slower than in the country&39;s other hot spots such as New York, New Jersey, Michigan and Louisiana. But that’s a stupid comparison. Nyc is a very very busy city with millions of people using public transportation and living on top of each other. California... not so much.
