Snow falls in Central Pa.Sunday’s storm is behaving as expected, meaning snow is on its way out, but sleet and other wintry mix precipitation is on its way in, according to the National Weather Service.
Gutierrez predicted another inch of snow will fall in the region at most before the storm coats everything with sleet, then maybe a little freezing rain on top of that. The change in precipitation is because there is a warm layer of air just above the surface coming from the east, Gutierrez said, and it’s causing the snow to melt before it’s landing.
