Drinking more water helps amp up metabolism -- especially if your glass is icy cold. Your body must work to warm the water up, burning a few extra calories in the process.

Staying hydrated pays dividends for our health.

Please supply evidence that shows cold water increases metabolism . Thank U!

I even thought, cold water especially when it icy is not good for the teeth ?

I like cold water over lukewarm, so that works out for me

I'm sorry but, I don't agree with them

There’s gotta be something more important in health than what temperature to drink your water.

This is a first time i am hearing this .As per ayurveda ,water has to be warm or room temperatures.cold water slows down the metabolic rate .it would be interesting to know the results of the studies conducted on this.

Is this a fact or an opinion? Many recent studies suggest drinking icy cold water slows digestive system. Are a “few” extra calories really worth the stress on this system?

Uh huh. Okayyy.

There are a lot of other things to worry about than calories and metabolism when you talk about the digestive system.

IfeanyiAniagoh How about the brain freeze effect?

Reference please that ice water is superior to other water for increasing metabolism. This is in theory what happens but in practice, do we really have reliable evidence?

While there are multiple forms of ringworm, the most common affect the skin on the body (tinea corporis), the scalp (tinea capitis), the feet (tinea pedis, or athlete's foot), or the groin (tinea cruris, or jock itch). This would help. I got that on my shoulder once.
