The sister of a New York City Police officer who died by suicide — the ninth this year — says the department took his weapons away twice. And twice, she says, they gave them back.

New York The sister of a New York City Police officer who died by suicide -- the ninth this year -- says she told the department that her brother was a danger to himself and others multiple times over the past seven years.

Twice, she says, the department took his weapons away. Twice, she says, they gave them back. Eileen Echeverria said her most recent communications with the department's Internal Affairs Bureau in June led to her brother being relieved of his weapons. But she says they were returned within days.

it's YOU and the rest of left wing media who demonized and is dehumanizing these police officers. It's YOU who makes the general public hate these people, so this man's suicide is as much on YOUR hands as his own You should be ashamed of yourselfs

Its Bushes fault

I imagine if the liberals (who do not not think) did not display so much antipathy for law enforcement that number would be lower.

Why aren't they getting help?

This is an internal police department problem. They need to replace top management, of course they won’t. If other cities police departments had this suicide issue, their excuse would make sense, but it’s only in NYPD. The problem is within the department.

Why didn't the sister take his weapons? Cause it's always someone else's fault.
