Simone Biles said she believes the problems that led to her early exit from the Tokyo Olympics will come back and she is “still scared to do gymnastics,” in an emotional interview onearly Thursday, as she and other gymnasts continue their challenge to improve the sport in the wake of the Larry Nassar sexual abuse scandal....
Biles said she had “put on a front” during competition and “suppressed her emotions” for so many years, but it finally “cracked” when she stepped on the Olympic scene. Asked if she still gets the twisties — which is when a gymnast becomes disoriented while performing a twist in the air — Biles said she no longer does twists in her floor routines on the Gold Over America Tour, instead opting to do the double layout half out, one of her signature moves that doesn’t require twisting."To do something that I’ve done forever and just not be able to do it because of everything I’ve gone through is really crazy because I love this sport so much," Biles said.
I’m scared for her too. She should retire and quit her daytime job and stop talking about it and be about it.
Then retire and move on with life.
Why cant she just stop and start doing a 9 to 5 job.
