Sheldon finds his first set of friends before Big Bang

Young Sheldon premiered in 2017 and at the start of the series, Sheldon was just nine years old. Since then, the child prodigy has graduated high school and after a brief conflict with his mother, Mary (Zoe Perry), he was finally allowed to go to college on one condition: he chooses a school nearby. So instead of going to an Ivy League institution, Sheldon was forced to attend East Texas Tech. For the most part, things have been going well for him after he found a new mentor to follow in Dr. Linkletter (Ed Begley Jr.) and one genuine friend in Sam (Taylor Spreitler). But his social life isn't exactly going well.

Picard’s first season 2 trailer has Guinan going for itGuinan, the Borg, Queen, and Q are back in Picard’s first season 2 trailer. Wokecard. Jesus I hated the character Guinan. Just ruining everything. Oh hell yes! The writing for the series is mediocre at best. Plenty of CGI.. but that doesn't necessarily make up for poor writing. Tbh.. Patrick Stewart isn't as peppy nor enthusiastic as he used to be.. really needs to retire. Constantly bringing back old cast members doesn't cut it; imho.

Sheldon (Iain Armitage) gets his first group of nerdy friends on Young Sheldon. The Pasadena gang accepted and tolerated the socially inept genius's antics on The Big Bang Theory despite his odd tendencies. But as it turns out, they may not be Sheldon's first group of friends who also enjoyed the same geeky stuff as he did. Young Sheldon premiered in 2017 and at the start of the series, Sheldon was just nine years old. But his social life isn't exactly going well. Related: Why Young Sheldon’s Biggest Problem Is The Big Bang Theory’s Beginning Now, however, it appears as if Sheldon will finally find his group at East Texas Tech. As seen in a new trailer for Young Sheldon season 5, episode 13, titled"A Lot of Band-Aids and the Cooper Surrender," Sheldon will meet his dorm neighbors who apparently love most of the stuff he does, including playing Dungeons and Dragons. He enjoys spending time with them so much, he even asks for a late pick-up. Watch the clip below, shared by TV Promos on YouTube. Click here to see the original post. Depending on how Sheldon's budding friendships pan out, the child genius could finally find himself part of a group — long before he met Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and the rest of the gang on The Big Bang Theory. This will be good for him, but it will effectively raise new questions, including why he never brought this up during the original sitcom. The introduction of Sheldon's first best friend, Tam Nguyen (Ryan Phuong) on Young Sheldon did the same thing. However, since The Big Bang Theory was still on the air at that point, it was able to provide a justified explanation why he was never mentioned. It's also possible that before the end of the upcoming Young Sheldon episode, Sheldon may no longer be friends with his dorm neighbors. Perhaps there's a falling out between them, which isn't out of the realm of possibility considering Sheldon's strong opinions. Otherwise, the other kids could just stop hanging out with him because Sheldon's significantly younger than they are. That would explain why he never talked about them on The Big Bang Theory. Young Sheldon airs every Thursday at 8/7c on CBS.
