After a year of crafting conscious beauty products, Westman Atelier has debuted The Lip Suede. Formulated with 100 per cent natural ingredients, the product combines proven treatment benefits with colour, which is one of the brand’s trademarks. This product comes in the form of a compact lip palette, something that founder Gucci Westman is accustomed to using as a makeup artist herself. “I have all the lipstick shades I need scooped out and transferred into an empty grid,” says Westman.
Plus, a vegetable-derived base–a clean alternative to petroleum jelly –offers a cushioned effect, sans preservatives.This week, Maybelline New York turned to New York Fashion Week to tease the release of a couple of new products. The first is Lifter Gloss—something beauty junkies have yet to see from the brand. This lipgloss was used on models backstage at the Christian Siriano show early in the week, and makeup artist Erin Parsons raved toabout the product’s 10-shade range.
