A group of bipartisan senators have agreed on an infrastructure framework with the White House. The senators are meeting with Biden on Thursday to discuss the plan, but members of both parties said that his advisers have signed off.

A group of bipartisan senators said Wednesday evening that they had agreed with the White House on a framework for an infrastructure package and will brief President Joe Biden in person Thursday on the details. after the latest in a series of huddles with White House aides.

"We came to an agreement on the plan that we have, and it's just a matter of trying to wrap it up tomorrow," said Sen.The White House was not as definitive on the results of the latest confab, though, with White House press secretary Jen Psaki calling the outcome "progress towards an outline of a potential agreement."

But in this lurching saga toward a bipartisan deal, where offers and counteroffers have been chewed up and spit out repeatedly by various factions, even "progress" toward a "potential agreement" seems like more than a glimmer of hope.

White House: 70% of Americans 30 or older get COVID-19 shotWASHINGTON (AP) — More than 70% of Americans age 30 or older have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, the White House said, even as President Joe Biden is set to fall short of reaching his goal of giving a shot to the same percentage of all American adults by Independence Day. Is that because they didn't get the shot or they don't want one? Only the ignorant and backward RED states keep us from herd immunity. Really wish all the red states would join a confederation and leave the United States. They bog us down in Dark Ages ideas and Neanderthal practices. Amazing we got this far with so little help from Republicans. If you want to point out it’s trump’s vaccine that’s fine, but there’s no leadership evidence he’d be anywhere close to this rollout success rate.

White House: U.S. to Just Miss July 4 Vaccine GoalThe U.S. will narrowly miss President Joe Biden’s goal of having 70% of the country’s adults at least partially vaccinated by July 4 -- a result of lagging vaccination rates among 18- to 26-year-olds, White House officials say. We are proud of how well it has gone so far despite missing the goal.
