The Senate has voted to confirm President Biden's nominee to serve as secretary of defense, retired Gen. Lloyd Austin, the first Black American to hold the position.

Austin's first job must be to investigate why the Army lied to the American people in *pointedly* denying Flynn's role in the events of January 6th, and the collective warning *pointedly* issued by former Defense Secretaries- that preceded it by mere weeks- of something brewing.
