Senate approves bill to make Juneteenth a federal holiday

Here's the thing, these weren't the last slaves who were freed. Check out the emancipation proclamation and you will find that slaves in the north in Maryland and West Virginia were still held.

So is this going to be a fed holiday like the 4th of July where everyone gets a day off to celebrate/commemorate or a fed holiday like Columbus day where banks & government employees get to commemorate but the majority of the US still wondering why they working on a fed holiday?

Great but what about voting & 1/6 investigations. Without a Democracy, you won't need any holidays. Just the dictator's birthday.

Why are some ppl so worried about who will get the day off? Yes, fed employees, state emp, bank/fin inst emp, stock ex emp, and LOTS of corp emp will get the day off. If you are worried about ppl getting the day off then CANCEL Columbus Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day & Veterans Day

Just another holiday people will be forced to work and nothing but government will be able to observe.
