Former NBA big man Scot Pollard has been waiting for a new heart. On Friday, Pollard received a new heart. His wife, Dawns, took to Twitter/X to share the news:
"Scot has a new heart! Surgery went well and I’ve been told the heart is big, powerful and is a perfect fit! Now on to the crucial part of recovery. Thank you to everyone for the continued prayers and support, but most of all, deepest thanks to the donor, our hero." Pollard played 11 seasons in the NBA from 1997 through 2008. His NBA career ended with a championship as part of the 2007-08 Boston Celtics. Following his playing career, Pollard went on to appear on the game show Survivor.
