SANAA - The Saudi-led military coalition in Yemen carried out several air strikes on the Houthi-held capital Sanaa on Thursday after the Iranian-aligned movement claimed responsibility for drone attacks on Saudi oil installations.
The Houthi-run Masirah TV channel quoted the Houthi health ministry as saying six civilians, including four children, had been killed and 52 wounded, including two Russian women working in the health sector. A coalition spokesman did not immediately respond to a Reuters’ request for comment. One resident reported a strike near a densely-populated district and said ambulances rushed to the area, where flames and clouds of smoke could be seen.
Saudi Arabia’s deputy defense minister on Thursday accused Iran of ordering Tuesday’s armed drone attack on two oil pumping stations in the kingdom, and its foreign minister said the Houthis were an “integral part” of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard. [L5N22S32Z] The UAE said on Wednesday that the Western-backed coalition, of which it is a main member, would “retaliate hard” for any Houthi attacks on coalition targets.
The Saudis need to starve and bomb the Houthis into surrender.
The Saudis need to commit themselves to win this war. If they do not and allow a Shiite state to exist on their Southern border Iran will exploit that to the fullest. You either fight today or you fight tomorrow.
Saudi Arabia is seeking a political solution in Yemen. Its objective is not to completely eradicate the Houthis or perpetuate an endless state of war. The Kingdom realises that more can always be done to protect civilians from the targeting errors that are endemic to war.

Iranian-backed Houthi militias MUST be defeated. Saudi is supporting the legitimate government to take Yemen back from the militias.

Air strikes which kill indiscriminately cause more problems as even air strikes cause destructive problems, logically air strikes are irresponsible in these situations.
