Saudi Arabia will limit the size of this year's hajj to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, restricting the pilgrimage to Saudi residents only.

The area around the Kaaba, the cubic building at the Grand Mosque in the Muslim holy city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia, was closed and disinfected in March. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah cited the lack of an available vaccine and the risks of crowded gatherings. "This decision is taken to ensure Hajj is performed in a safe manner from a public health perspective while observing all preventative measures and the necessary social distancing protocols to protect human beings from the risks associated with this pandemic and in accordance with the teachings of Islam in preserving the lives of human beings," the statement said.

The Saudi government has been more than100 years offering all the service for the Muslims people who able to come to Makkah but this year the world face the pandemic so,this decision important not only for the Muslims people,in fact,it is necessary for all people around the world
