After months of strained relations, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have signed agreements, including deals to create a Saudi-Pakistan Supreme Coordination Council and construct a mosque in Islamabad

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, right, meets Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan, at Riyadh international airport, Saudi Arabia, May 7, 2021.

Although the kingdom was the first foreign country Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan visited after his 2018 election, Riyadh appeared frustrated with Islamabad last year. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and Khan, who arrived on Friday for a three-day visit, held talks in which they stressed "the importance of expanding and intensifying the horizons of cooperation."The country's state news agency added officials from both countries signed two agreements in the western city of Jeddah addressing the treatment of criminals, and crime.

The visits by Khan and the army chief are viewed as part of ongoing efforts to mend ties between two longtime allies which have been strained in recent years by a series of events, including Pakistan's refusal to join the Riyadh-led war in Yemen and the kingdom's lukewarm support for Islamabad's stand on the long-standing Kashmir dispute.

I wouldn't walk dead into a Saudi mosque

Instead of trying to wipe out its sins by constructing a mosque. Saudi Arabia should end the war in Yemen and supply weapons to Palestinians for an uprising. But as the leader of Ummah it chose to sleep

While dozens of people dying everyday in Afghanistan and palestine and all around the world our confused so called leaders are busy in building mosques... why not orphanages and schools? Whats gonna happen to the orphans?

schaheid We need more schools and universities please

schaheid Saudis mosques/religious activities in Pak & other Islamic countries have only been for polarising sectarian divide. Instead they benefit from Gwadar, military cooperation of Pak, & simultaneously fulfill investment agreements of Oil refinery & chemical raw materials complex.
