In Nevada, where unions remain key power brokers in Democratic politics, Bernie Sanders' campaign priorities of being ambitiously pro-labor and prioritizing a 'Medicare for All' single-payer health insurance system are coming into stark conflict.

Sen. Bernie Sanders has pitched himself as the most ambitiously pro-labor candidate in the Democratic primary. He has also centered his campaign on the promise of passing and implementing a"Medicare for All" single-payer health insurance system.

But in Nevada, where unions remain key power brokers in Democratic politics, those priorities are coming into stark conflict -- and heightening divisions in the labor movement.Unions have been one of the most politically potent sources of opposition to Medicare for All throughout the 2020 Democratic campaign. The Vermont senator's rivals have repeatedly seized on labor's anxieties over a fundamental reordering of the country's health care system.

It’s not just about their health insurance! Single payer health care would have to constrain wages also! The reimbursement rates for “providers” doesn’t just mean the doctors! It means for the entity that provides the care. It affects everyone! Nurses, clerical, maintenance etc!

No this is not a conflict. M4A will allow unions to help workers on other issues like *gasp* higher wages.

Bernie’s so correct.Every civilized democracy gives its citizens health coverage as a right. This has been haggled over for one hundred years in the US. We need to cut to the chase and do it. Big pharma and Ins companies squeeze Americans to death. It has to end.

And he still leading the polls.. please CNN,MSNBC and the rest of the hater media you guys are bullies your not letting Bernie fight one on one.. let the candidates fight him, not you media bullies, y’all scared to go one on one

As liberal viewers flocked to NBC and MSNBC for the debate, there weren’t many left for CNN, which averaged a dismal 569,000 viewers from 9-11 p.m. ET.

the way he uses his hands and moves his head he could pass as richard nixons twin watch him.

This is bullshit. Medicare4All *is* pro-labor. Imagine how much easier union negotiations would be if they didn’t have to ask for comprehensive medical plans and could focus on good wages, working conditions and other LABOR-related issues?

Bernie has triple the union endorsement than everyone else combined!

All members in the Culinary Union thinking they have no medical worries! Do they ever stop & think where their medical insurance is if they get fired or laid off ? In the blink of an eye, it can happen in our economy that you get laid off! Bernie would still have you covered!

Breaking: Polls show Biden at 5% in Nevada.

Unions do not have to worry. Zero chance Medicare for All ever gets enacted.

LOL Ya think? LOL
