The San Pedro Fish Market, beloved by generations of families, needs to relocate. The owner has big plans to expand (which include a Ferris wheel-type attraction 👀🎡) rogervincent reports:

With California set to reopen its economy fully on Tuesday, wearing a mask will become optional in many public settings. Here are the rules.

Mackey put his son, Henry Ungaro, and nephew, Tommy Amalfitano, in charge when they were just 15 years old. The pair made the business a success in its own right and moved it to the waterfront in 1959. The current location opened in 1982 and expanded in 1990 with the acquisition of neighboring competitor Crusty Crab.

Sales at the Fish Market fell 90% early in the pandemic and 350 of the restaurant’s 400 employees were furloughed, Ungaro said. Revenue is now back to about 80% of what it was.Colicchio said the Fish Market’s pre-COVID sales of about $30 million are “astounding” and indicate that the owners “are running a highly profitable business.”

The San Jose shooter was disciplined for 4 separate incidents prior to killing 9 coworkers, transit company saysThe gunman who killed 9 colleagues at a San Jose, California, light rail yard last month, faced disciplinary action in the past for four separate incidents, including a verbal altercation with a coworker, according to the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA). And then he legally obtained a bunch of semiautomatic handguns that have no possible legitimate purpose other than murder (at least not a purpose that cant be fulfilled, frankly better, by a shotgun or bolt action rifle) and killed a bunch of people thanks to idiotic lax gun laws He was surely a sicko republican voter So there will be (rightly) millions paid to the victims deprived of their loved ones, but it will be paid by taxpayers because the Santa Clara valley transportation authority couldn’t do its HR job and fire him?
