San Francisco sheriff’s deputies threaten to quit over COVID-19 vaccine mandate

The union representing San Francisco sheriff’s deputies said this week a number of its officers will quit or retire early if they are forced to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

The San Francisco Deputy Sheriffs’ Assn. said on its Facebook page Friday that about 160 of 600 sheriff employees are rejecting the vaccine due to religious or other beliefs, and would rather wear masks or test weekly. City officials denounced the union’s position, coming days after seven Bay Area counties reinstated indoor masking requirements to stem transmission of the highly contagious Delta variant of the coronavirus.

Hahaha and they have not even been defunded. More proof on how racist and hateful cops and sheriffs are - teachers get funds cut all the time and they don’t quit. And they follow covid protocol

I know some Bay Area sheriff's deputies IRL. These people attend pro-cop hate rallies. They literally have no identity beyond this job. Call their bluff. Besides, why can't they JUST COMPLY?
