The board is expected to pass an ordinance that says"no person shall sell or distribute an electronic cigarette to a person in San Francisco" unless that product has undergone premarket review by the US Food and Drug Administration. To date, none have.This includes sales in brick-and-mortar stores, as well as online sales shipped to a San Francisco address. The ordinance also applies to flavored tobacco products in addition to e-cigarettes.
A separate ordinance, also up for a final vote Tuesday, would prohibit"the sale, manufacture, and distribution of tobacco products, including electronic cigarettes, on City property." The company is also behind a ballot initiative that experts worry could roll back the city ordinance if voters approve it in upcoming elections. But the company defends its proposal, which includes measures like age verification and limiting the amount of product that can be purchased at once.

There's no proof or studies that say ecigs are BAD for people. MAYBE in the future the science will show it is. Right now, it is PROVEN and backed up by science that ecigs are still much safer than tobacco and help people(like me) stopped smoking after 11 years. Their argument...
