A construction worker died Monday afternoon in an apparent industrial accident after falling about 26 feet, according to the Salt Lake City Fire Department.

Fire Capt. Tony Stow confirmed the fatality, which occurred at about 3:05 p.m. in the area of 2300 North and 2200 West in Salt Lake City.

The worker died at the scene.The man who died was not immediately identified. No further details, including the man’s employer, and what may have caused the fall, were released Monday afternoon.
