PEOPLE POWER: Employees of the Russian Embassy in North Korea and their families left the country on a hand-pushed rail trolley to return home to Russia.

A video published by Russia's foreign ministry Thursday shows the diplomats pushing the handcar, stacked with their suitcases, along a railway track through the barren landscape near North Korea's northern border. The ministry said the group had been working in its embassy in Pyongyang and was forced to improvise because travel connections between the two countries had been cut off for more than a year.

In this image taken from a video released by Russian Foreign Ministry Press Service, Feb. 25, 2021, a group of Russian diplomats push hand-pushed rail trolley with their children and suitcases crossing a railway bridge to the border with Russia.
