Authorities have begun arresting and charging some of the prominent rioters who took part in an attempted insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday that left members of Congress scared for their lives and the halls of the building trashed.
The FBI has released dozens of images of rioters asking for more information, and has received thousands of tips as they look to track down more of the rioters., but not yet arrested, like 32-year-old Jake Angeli, who appeared shirtless and wearing buffalo horns while making his way into the U.S. Senate chamber.
Charges for the rioters have included entering and remaining on restricted grounds, violent entry and theft of public property.Rioters organized online and openly planned to assault the U.S. Capitol, with some even taking the time to printthat said “Civil War January 6, 2021.
Not shot, knee to the neck or thrown to the ground without 50 police officer participating, arrest for a terrorist better than a person driving,holding a phone, playing in a park eating ice cream or sleeping in a bed. Responsible arrest can be done.
