Rhode Island is requiring anyone traveling from New York to self-quarantine for 14 days

From CNN's Rebekah RiessMassachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker today announced that his administration has submitted a request to the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the President for federal disaster declaration assistance in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Baker also announced that a former Boston Medical Center facility, the Newton Pavilion, will be temporarily reopened to help treat the city's homeless population during the pandemic. “The facility will provide a safe isolated place for people to stay and recover if they don’t require hospitalization,” Baker said.

“As you know, as we've announced before, we've requested additional supplies from the Strategic National Stockpile. To date, approximately 17% of those requests have been filled. We received a third confirmation of a delivery, but it's not yet been received,” Sudders added.

Thats cute but its way too late for this

Not in support of this POTUS, but respectfully, this isn't your decision to make. As journalists your job is to publish as is. If you want to raise questions, which I believe you should, then do so in forums I'm sure you have such as opinion pieces, op Ed coverage, etc...

Right thing to do

This just shows we need borders!

Just have the entire state shelter in place.. No ones going to listen.

Good luck.

Is Obama going to be on CNN anytime soon addressing the corona virus while driveling his basket ball around his driveway in DC or in Hyde Park?

Rhode Island already has 165 cases (33 new today). States don't understand that it's too late, if they already have it. Trump blocked travel too late, as do states. If Spot has fleas, contact with a flea-ridden dog doesn't matter. Fleas will multiply on Spot on their own.

Exactly how are they going to enforce that!

Why is anyone travelling? So many stay at home orders and few obeying? StayHome

I wouldn't let anyone from NYC in my state.
