Refurbishing foundries will require about 500 million euros, reckons one Ilva executive, with another 1.5 billion euros for the rest of the work. A senior member of the Draghi government estimates the total bill at around 4 billion euros. It’s basically a 2-billion-to-4-billion-euros guess.
