Opinions on whether college had a positive effect on the United States differed greatly depending on the political affiliation of a person.
In March, President Donald Trump hosted several students who felt their school's censored them at the White House and later signed an executive order aimed at free speech on college campuses. Agencies were ordered to ensure colleges and universities were places of free thought and debate.between July 10 and 15, the fourth year it surveyed Americans on the question of whether college was a positive or negative for America.
Negative views on how colleges are affecting the U.S. as a whole have been on a steady increase among Republicans and had a sharp jump in 2017, demonstrated by Pew Research as:A pedestrian walks on the University of Minnesota campus on April 9 in Minneapolis. A recent Pew Research poll found Republicans were more likely than Democrats to see college as having a negative effect on the U.S.
pixiekat666 Trump and the Republicans love the uneducated.
Those particular Americans can’t even spell college
Goes with autocratic rulers, living the same in Turkey. They like to have what I call “barrel heads” that go “tonk tonk” when they knock at for votes.
Wow
because stupid = republican vote.
Taking pride in ignorance is so...TeaBagger.
The Republicans ate the dumbest class of people
This makes me so fucking angry. They deride everything but have NO solutions or ideas.
Sure. Education is the problem.
It's not exactly a party of intellectuals anymore, is it?
The party of ignorance keeps getting ... ignoranter.
What percentage of respondents had attended college?
Conservatives has always been against education. They want their base to be uneducated and have a problem understanding simple things.Once these same people got educated they become Democrats !!
Hmm....
I can understand this if you are educated you ask questions they the Republicans cannot answer
Not surprising since right wing propaganda has been pushing the “college is for liberal brainwashing” narrative for years
Republicans want to control ones thinking, hence the cult-like thinkers that flock to Trump. College Grads are exposed to a variety of academic choices that promote free thinking and as a result are happier.
Make college more safer then
Yeah, Education is bad for a country 😂😂😂😂
Yeah. I bet every single one of them sent their children to college any way. They can blame themselves for having children who drink and screw their way through college. They know Daddy’s going to set them up in their firm anyway.
Stop asking the stupid to answer questions, it only hurts their head and takes them days to recover.
That shows how brainless they are.
I served an apprenticeship as an offset lithographer. Didn't need a college degree. Got one anyway because getting an education is NEVER a bad thing. Damn glad I did because the offset printing business dried up. Now I'm working as an accountant and doing fine. THANKS EDUCATION!
is this page anti republican?
Critical Thinking is NOT a favorite thing that the Republicans embrace. Thinking for yourself and testing information is a dangerous thing to them.
Bobby Jindal was correct about one thing. The GOP is the stupid party.
Who feel, not “think.” They don’t think.
It’s because so many uneducated vote for trump!! These comments are so ignorant!!
Cool. Does that mean the Franklin Graham grift called Liberty University is shutting down?
Republicans prefer ignorant citizens to insure they can’t ask intelligent questions or undress the propaganda they spew as they turn the country into a dictatorship. GOP & MoscowMich realDonaldTrump all think enough are just that stupid & they will make billions. Resist
Ugh. Call it what it is Trump factor. His base et al don’t want to learn and be proven wrong. Depressing
Keep them sick. Keep them poor. Keep them stupid.
The only college hurting the US is the electoral college.
What’s happening?
