Wrong idea, the grid needs to be updated, they should keep the ban in place and put pressure on CA to fix the grid. Removing the ban is more incentive to just keep the status quo, embrace life with even more rolling blackouts
Maybe the point is to upgrade the grid to support a more distributed, reliable and efficient network relying on wind and solar sustainable sources. Sunny California could easily find neighborhood rooftops to replace imported energy. As water sources cease to flow we need the new.
