Rangers Release Statement After Bungling Pride Night

Saturday afternoon, New York released a statement on Friday's events, according to a report from “Our organization respects the LGBTQ+ community and we are proud to bring attention to important local community organizations as part of another great Pride Night,” the statement read. “In keeping with our organization’s core values, we support everyone’s individual right to respectfully express their beliefs.

I think their Jerseys do show pride. Pride for their team! Anything else is just political, keep politics out of sports.

For every pride Jersey worn, an lgbtq person still has to pay for the privilege of watching a game because the NHL is all about making money off you. Business at its finest.

Businesses should not force employees to participate in social events. Players can certainly support whomever they wish. Organizations can promote what they deem acceptable. Just tell fans in advance so they can decide if they want to attend. Don’t force employees though.

I don’t get how sports teams are “expected” to wear any jersey or armband or whatever that isn’t just their team logo / mascot. The politicization of sports teams and corporations is ridiculous and just leads to more division in this country. LET IT GO!

This is DOLAN’s ignorant politics. 🤡🤡🤡🤡 NYC has one of the LARGEST Thriving GAY Populations in USA. If not 1, NYC is 2 or 3. Chelsea, a Gay neighborhood, is steps away from MSG. Gays deserve to be RESPECTED as a big part of NYC life.
