Prosecutors Report Evidence of Advance Coordination in Capitol Riots

U.S. officials said they had begun to see evidence of advance coordination and planning by members of the pro-Trump mob thatlast week, as investigators pursue nearly 300 suspects and agency watchdogs launched sweeping reviews into the government’s failure to pre-empt the attack.

“There are breadcrumbs of organization,” acting U.S. Attorney Michael Sherwin for D.C. said at a news conference Friday, adding that officials were reviewing evidence that some of the rioters had coordinated their activities inside the Capitol and communicated with each other as they breached the building.
