Progressives are no longer so pleasantly thrilled with the Biden era

During the first six months of his presidency, party activists mostlyon Biden's tactics and agenda as Democrats moved to capitalize on what they feared would be a very short time with total control of Congress and the White House. When they did express concern, they rarely mentioned the president by name.

Biden, she added, can help Democrats who aren’t yet convinced that “this is not the time of bipartisanship that maybe even the president served in. This is a different time, and we are really at the verge of toppling our democracy if we don’t pass these bills.” Epting said progressives know Biden inherited numerous crises. The official stressed that Biden is constantly using the bully pulpit to communicate the seriousness of the situations, from his remarks commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Tulsa massacre to those he offered on Juneteenth, the date marking the end of slavery in the country, a now a federally-recognized holiday.

Other outside groups launched demonstrations in Washington D.C. Rev. William J. Barber II and the Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis, who co-chair The Poor People’s Campaign, led what they called a “Moral March” on Hart Senate Office Building Wednesday afternoon, targeting both Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Manchin. And progressives like Sen. Bernie Sanders , Sen. Ed Markey and Jayapal are set to hold a rally Thursday on the National Mall to “demand bold action from Congress.

If only the Left had absolute power, so they could purge the unbelievers. This movie has played many times.

While they start fighting each other, Trump (or worse) will start getting stronger. Look to the South of the continent for examples or authoritarian parties going back to power 🤷‍♀️

BernieSanders Who cares? The world is not about 'progressives' alone. Plus, that definition of progress does not mean that it is actually the definition of 'progress' They just like to call themselves that and think they are special - not very different from deep right wing.

It's almost July and look at the list of things Biden ran on. Almost his entire legislative agenda is set to fail because of the filibuster, something he isn't building support for overhauling.

Progressives should look to increase their clout by running for important state and local position like, say, the Mayor of NYC or the Gov of Virginia.

So because progressive dems in congress cant do their job and bargin with gop they blame biden wow what wastes why not replace them with ppl eho actuslly want to work.
