Reality soon intruded. The couple separated in 1992 and divorced in 1996, with both acknowledging extramarital affairs. Diana died in a car crash in Paris in 1997 at the age of 36.
I’m probably the only one who thought this dress was hideous. It covered her up in so much heavy fabric, it looked like she was suffocating. As the boys got older her fashion sense blossomed but not on this day. It wasn’t a surprise how things ended. I wish her peace.
I would love to see it. I remember setting the alarm and getting up at some crazy hour to watch the entire thing ( as I did for her funeral, Williams and Harry's weddings ).
