About 20 percent of Republicans said they “strongly” or “somewhat” approved of convicting in the latest poll, conducted Jan. 15-17. That’s an increase from the previous poll, conducted Jan. 8-11, in which 14 percent of Republicans said the same. The House impeached Trump last week, charging him with "incitement of insurrection” after he gave a speech to supporters on Jan. 6 in front of the White House before they stormed the U.S. Capitol. He told them to “be strong."as “totally appropriate.” Just 27 percent of respondents in the poll said Trump acted “appropriately” and that the Senate should not remove him from office.
They know that more bad things are going to come to light when the entirety of the federal government is no longer covering up his crimes.
Hallelujah!
Karma is a son of a gun.
I'll never understand why it is not 100% for removal.
Cynical and opportunistic, but absolutely on brand, like scorpians stinging each other to death.
SethAbramson Doubtful they’ve grown a conscience among other things. Because voters flipped the Senate!
Why isn't there more on board?
But Mitch is obstructing again. First swearings-in, including Lummis-W who opposed the certification; now confirming Cabinet nominees which can take a long time. Then 3-martini lunch and no doubt early recess to socialize over inauguration. Can't wait to see this guy sidelined.
SethAbramson Well, it damn well better be, considering how little support there was in the first place.
SethAbramson Anyone who doesn’t vote to convict him is a part of his shenanigans.
WE SHOULD BE CHANTING LOCK HIM UP, LOCK HIM UP , BUT WE HAVE MORE CLASS 🤦♀️👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼🤔
Omg if the press would stop spreading lies every day maybe we would believe them. We love Trump. Your lying continuously only reinforces us He loves America. Not the democrats. They hate America. Communist party now!
SethAbramson It better damn well grow. Watch the landslide of opinion after Biden is President and Trump's power is completely gone.
neal_katyal senatemajldr ProjectLincoln Support for Trump conviction growing - even from Reps. as well as Majority of Americans and major corps- just wait until evidence comes out how he gleefully watched Capitol riot on TV as you all hid in terror.ConvictTrumpNow
SethAbramson Wait 'til the 'good stuff' comes out.
SethAbramson
SethAbramson Until they do mostly to ensure he can never run again, we will not be able to turn page!
neal_katyal WhiteHouse GOOD RIDDANCE! If you see him tell him!
neal_katyal Senate republicans need to convict Trump, the monster that they created!
neal_katyal YES ! My gut feeling is that they will convict this time I think it’s wise to hold the Article of Impeachment with the flood of new evidence coming in. If ever there was a time for conviction.. It’s Now GOP !
I'll believe it when they vote
SethAbramson 20%. Way to take a stand. What exactly (besides a BJ) does a president have to do in order for the GOP to consider removing a reckless incompetent insane president? So much for country before party.
Wait until he pardons a bunch of criminals, traitors and Ghislaine Maxwell.
SethAbramson THE LAS DAY OF A CONDEMNED MAN *******CONDEMNED TO SHAME******
Do they realize he has already lost his Twitter account? He can no longer retaliate with his oh so scary tweets.
SethAbramson Grown to 2/3 needed?
neal_katyal Trumpledthinskin tried to spin gold for his little girl ivanka, and failed
If the Rep senate can be convinced that their own futures depend mainly on the decision to convict, that will do the trick. How to do it? Anyone?
About damn time. They don’t deserve a pat on the back for doing the right thing.
