'If I had a different opinion and I donated to a fund for the victims and made comments about how Mr. Rittenhouse was a murderer, nobody would have cared or tried to get me fired,' said William Kelly.

Kelly said that his opinion about Rittenhouse's self-defense claim doesn't impact his ability to perform his job as a police officer.

Kelly made his donation anonymously on the Christian crowdfunding website GiveSendGo after he reportedly found that a GoFundMe fundraiser set for Rittenhouse was taken down. GoFundMe said on Friday that it canceled those accounts because it prohibited"raising money for an alleged violent crime." But the platform added that it's okay to raise money for Rittenhouse now that he has been acquitted of criminal charges.

"God bless. Thank you for your courage. Keep your head up. You've done nothing wrong. Every rank and file police officer supports you. Don't be discouraged by actions of the political class of law enforcement leadership," Kelly's message read.A Virginia officer is demanding his job back after being fired over supporting Kyle Rittenhouse now that the teen has been acquitted on Friday.

Rittenhouse Relieved Over Acquittal While Victim’s Family And Politicians Express Heartbreak And AngerRittenhouse’s attorney said his client “has a huge sense of relief,” while the parents of one of the men fatally shot by him said they’re “heartbroken and angry.” How about letting law enforcement do their job, defunding the police leads to citizens protecting their own property and families. Kyle Rittenhouse did what anyone would do if their life was threatened. The president should commend Kyle for stepping up when others wouldn't. This kid will be no different than Zimmerman, he will be back in court for something else in no time. It's just who they are! No, Joe. What’s wong is the woke minority’s perspective that our right to self-defense and defense of private property be demeaned; the media pushing a narrative that rioters/looters/arsonists are heroes when they destroy communities; government not protecting citizens/property.
