The armed suspect approaches postal carriers while they are on their routes and demands their property. The police warned of robberies that happened Jan. 17 about 2 p.m., and Jan. 31 shortly before 3 p.m.The first robbery happened in 1600 block of North Sayre Ave, and the second occurred in the 1700 block of North New England Avenue.
The robber was described as African-American, between 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall with thick bi-focal glasses wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black fuzzy slippers.Anyone with information about the robberies should contact Area 5 detectives at 312-746-7394.
