Police investigating after woman assaulted in downtown Seattle

“I really don’t know why this happened, but I also feel very fortunate that I even get to ask why,” says the woman.But it’s not her injuries she’s focused on.

“I really hope that my story can kind of shift the conversation to why do attackers have this confidence or have this channel to even release that emotion for that type of violence on somebody.” Fortunately a Good Samaritan saw what had happened, helped her up and took her to a nearby apartment to call for help. Despite feeling slightly anxious, she’s determined to not let this act of violence make her a victim.

“I don’t want it to be something that debilitates me from going about my life. If anything, I feel like I’m going to come out stronger on the other end of this,” she says.

Hate Crime

High unemployment leads to higher crime rates. We all know government hates competition when it comes to theft, cuts into tax revenue.

I was really sad when I saw what has happened to downtown Seattle. The whole pike place area is in really bad condition with camps, encroachments, broken windows and homeless druggies everywhere.

My condolences to this woman. I walk downtown in the daytime periodically but wouldn’t after sunset as things have changed so much in the past 20-25 years.

Let's follow England's lead and CCTV all public areas. As we know, police rarely stop crimes from happening but at least we can find & prosecute these low lifes.
