The delay in confronting the shooter — who was inside the school for more than an hour — could lead to discipline, lawsuits and even criminal charges against police.

The actions — or more notably, the inaction — of a school district police chief and other law enforcement officers moved swiftly to the center of the investigation into this week's shocking school shooting in Uvalde, Texas,

“In these cases, I think the court of public opinion is far worse than any court of law or police department administrative trial,” said Joe Giacalone, a retired New York police sergeant. “This has been handled so terribly on so many levels, there will be a sacrificial lamb here or there.” Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who at a news conference earlier in the week lauded the police for saving lives, said he had been misled about the initial response and promised there would be investigations into “exactly who knew what, when, who was in charge” and what they did.

The Uvalde School District police chief, Pete Arredondo, decided that the group of officers should wait to confront the assailant, on the belief that the active attack was over, according to Steven McCraw, the head of the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Police inaction moves to center of Uvalde shooting probeThe attack that left 19 children and two teachers dead in a fourth-grade classroom was the nation’s deadliest school shooting in nearly a decade. While scrolling through the images of the children destroyed by gun violence, I noted that every few pictures contained an AD for something. Who the F*CK puts ADs into a group of dead children to help sell products. Capitalism has hit its lowest today as far as I am concerned.

What we know, minute by minute, about how the Uvalde shooting and police response unfoldedState officials provided a timeline of the massacre and have corrected crucial details amid public demands for information on how authorities handled the situation. *intentional lack of police response District/city police should also have shields readily available on hand at every school campus. In his opening statement on TV now, Dustin Burrows (R) seemed to place some blame on “violent video games” & took a swipe at investigators who obtain any kind of testimony in a public hearing. Burrows seems to me to have an agenda.

Uvalde police chief who made 'wrong call' on shooting joining city councilPeter Arredondo was elected to the Uvalde City Council just three weeks before the mass shooting, after running on a platform of communication and outreach. As far as I’m concerned my next door neighbors two dogs are more qualified to join the city council. This is outrageous. He needs to resign from both jobs immediately Peter and his pu$$y police just proved that good guys with guns can't stop bad guys with guns unless they have the guts to do their jobs. If armed police are too scared to walk into a classroom and save children, they shouldn't be police.
