Plaid’s technology connects bank accounts to financial apps like Venmo — and users could be entitled to some money after a big class-action lawsuit was just settled.

The U.S. Mint, the government agency responsible for making coins, has had a long and storied history. Here's a look at what it does and some things you may not have known.

The lawsuit alleged Plaid took improper actions when securing the connection between users’ bank accounts and the online app or service. A $58 million settlement was reached. This "plumbing" has become more important as more Americans use mobile wallets to send money to friends, families and businesses.
