International flights contributed to the record numbers at Sky Harbor. phoenix

In November, the region’s primary airport recorded a total of 4,236,379 passengers going through its terminals, which was a 9.5% increase from November 2021 — the previous record for most total passengers — and a 14.3% increase from November 2019, according to the latest passenger traffic report from the Phoenix Aviation Department, which was released Sky Harbor and it is the only month to ever have more than 4.2 million total passengers. In the past two years, airlines at Sky Harbor worked to not only restart flying to international destinations, but they’ve added more flights, especially American Airlines and Southwest Airlines to Mexico. Overall, Sky Harbor saw the number of flights landing at Sky Harbor in November drop 3.2% year-over-year, showing that airlines had more people on flights than they did the year prior. American, the largest carrier at Sky Harbor, had 1.9 million total passengers in November, up 9.5% from the previous year.It was not just Sky Harbor that had a phenomenal November, Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport set a passenger record as well in November, with 157,725 total passengers, up 7% from November 2021.
