Early data suggest that vaccinated people in both groups were “far less” likely to die or be hospitalized if they did get infected.
“Overall, hospitalization and death from Covid-19 will be reduced by over 75% in those who have received a dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine,” the study concluded based on the early data. “This is strong evidence that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is stopping people from getting infected, while also protecting cases against hospitalization and death,” said Dr. Mary Ramsey, the head of Immunization at PHE. “We should be very encouraged by these initial findings.
I am trusting the Pfizer advice of the efficacy of two doses like other nations around the world are doing. However I was relieved to get the 1st dose of the Pfizer. Unfortunately I don't feel any safer.
