Pentagon: ‘We’re still obviously concerned’ about Americans left in AfghanistanRoughly 100 American citizens remain in the country, under threat from the Taliban and ISIS-K. Concerned Why in hell would an American go to Afghanistan during a war so near the declared surrender date? More accurate to say 'the few Americans who didn't want to leave Afghanistan'. Blinken says 'under 200' Americans still want to leave Afghanistan after last troops depart'We believe there are still a small number of Americans, under 200 and likely closer to 100, who remain in Afghanistan and want to leave,' Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Monday. Let that sink in...The U.S. left 200 Americans behind that were trying to get out. 200 Americans left behind. 200 now prisoners or hostsges of the terrorist Taliban. This was not supposed to happen. Maybe we can send Blinken to go get them! I’d be all for that, particularly if he didn’t come back! Republicans: Biden got out of Afghanistan too fast. ALSO Republicans: Biden took too long he should have gotten out in May like Trump promised the Taliban.

These were people who ignored all warnings and went anyway. They didn’t have to register with US upon their arrival in Afghanistan. Nearly all of those folks are actually Afghan/American dual-citizens who wouldn't depart and leave their families behind. Should they have been rounded-up at gunpoint and forced onto the planes?
