Breaking: The Pentagon blocked a clampdown on sales to Huawei amid worries the loss of revenue would hurt U.S. tech firms, people familiar with the matter said

The Commerce Department has withdrawn proposed regulations making it harder for U.S. companies to sell to Huawei from their overseas facilities following objections from the Pentagon and the Treasury Department.

Proposed rules making it harder for American firms to sell to Chinese company are withdrawn In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Huawei’s Ren Zhengfei discusses how his company will navigate the trade war, concerns over whether its equipment could be used to spy for Beijing and his road trip across America. I'm using a Huawei right now. So what is the problem? Don’t tell me you can trust a Chinese state owned company? We should stop any buys from that brutal State. BoycottHuawei until China lifts the ban on Google. Can someone explain Why in the hell DoD is doing the job of Commerce and Commerce is protecting National Security?

Holy hell this is the twilight zone really? What about all the security concerns though... Wouldn't want national security to get in the way of profits, now would we? 🕵👁🤖🤣🤣🤣 Strange that the pentagon was concerned about tech firms revenue What?

Huawei victorious as UK government defies US calls to freeze out Huawei's 5G tech - Business InsiderIt looks like Huawei is about to score a big triumph over Trump, with the UK ready to let it build some of its 5G tech SAI Although he conned the foolish people that voted for him in 2016, and even greater decided not to vote at all. He's still light-years from the 'stable genius and deal-maker' he claims to be. Unfortunately, for all of us, this article proves my point. AdriaanBasson Brexit a bust? UK leaves then gets dropped by US. Whoops I'm a limey. AdriaanBasson Bwhagaha. Look at the choice of pics. Predictable

The problem with this is that it puts in doubt whether there is a security risk or whether this is all Trump Administration games. If Huawei is a security risk - treat them as such. If they are not - stop with the mixed messages. got to love lobbyists. So this must be what trump traded for a phase one sub pair deal.

I'm worried about the military. Increased costs.hahahaha!! Cause the Corona virus ? .... :-) Finally, money is more important than freedom and justice. why is the commerce department block sales and the pentagon trying to get sales thru ? shouldn't it be the other way around ? That lot can't make their minds up. One minute they hate China, then they're doing deals with them, now this? God sake's pick a side already. Bloody hell.

Pathetic. Some things are more important then money and this is one of them and that’s why America will loose and China will win

Facing Pushback From Allies, U.S. Set for Broader Huawei EffortThe U.S. is preparing for a longer and broader campaign to banish Huawei Technologies from next-generation 5G cellular networks around the world, as Washington faces resistance on the front line of its lobbying campaign. might as well as the neocons and Chinese made an unholy alliance against the USA. I can live without it. National security is important⋯⋯!!!! THE WORLD MUST STOP HUAWEI AND communist china.

Wonder where all the money and lack of it is going

Huawei is a cyber-security riskHuawei should be allowed to compete. Excluding it would be costly and risks delaying 5G Let's ignore the human rights violations drawn from that state aid for a second. The Economist wants a state-sponsored Huawei to run the underlying infrastructure for 5G communication because it's 'cheap'? You aren't even trying to pretend anymore, nice. Nah. Folks are just mad Huawei has the head start. US doing everything to try and catch up.

Canada prosecutors say fraud at heart of Huawei CFO Meng's U.S. extradition caseHuawei Chief Financial Officer Meng Wanzhou returned to a Vancouver courtroom on... its not our business. US authorities wanted her, they should get her. this shouldn't be a trial or debate. why are we in the middle of a China and USA problem ? this is nuts. already had an Ambassador lose his job over it, and that was bullshit. how much more tax dollars to use ? Just countering Huawei by the US tech giants “Canadian prosecutors have told the British Columbia Supreme Court that Meng was arrested on charges of bank fraud, which is a crime in both” the US and Canada. But U.S. allegations she violated U.S. sanctions against Iran loom large.

1st stage of Huawei exec extradition hearing endsThis week's hearings dealt with the question of whether the US charges against Meng Wanzhou, the daughter of Huawei's founder, are crimes in Canada as well.

Someone paid actors for fake support at Huawei CFO Meng Wazhou hearing - Business InsiderTwo women say they were paid between 100 and 150 Canadian dollars to show up at a court in Vancouver and hold a sign. Yes, sorry about that! Same daily rate as HK rioters ? Reminds me of the edhelms movie, The Clapper. I didn't realize people got paid to sit in infomercial audiences but I do now!
