'I'm in mourning every day of my life, Alexis, and I will be the rest of my life for you until we just change the world so that trans people aren't persecuted'

Patricia Arquette paid tribute to her late sister, transgender actress Alexis Arquette, in her Emmys acceptance speech Sunday.

Her speech comes as LGBTQ advocates combat what they call an epidemic of anti-transgender violence across the U.S. .@PattyArquette talks to @arobach about grieving her late sister Alexis Arquette & using her #Emmy win as a platform for trans rights:"You may not understand trans people. Open up the conversation. Open up your heart. And also lets start employing them." https://t.co/NVIxT9KvFX pic.twitter.com/nY0gJGGFCM

Here we go again with the sick trans BS.

It’s a mental illness and should be treated not enabled and labeled as “normal”

and yet she goes on anyway

You got it wrong: trans people are persecuting us with their never ending complaining and demanding.

What a joke

HWood hypocrisy on full display. Patricia Arquette needs to turn down roles and allow a transgender to have the role

Oh enough already. Sick of hearing about it.

Alexis Arquette (I thought, wait, did something happen to that white, privileged Roseanne?) died of AIDS, nothing to do with persecution. These people can't accept themselves. Churches can throw their doors wide open for them, it won't matter. They're childish & want attention.

She will do anything including use her brothers death to keep her name out there because she has no career.D movie actress

Has anyone noticed how terrible the Hollywood elite are aging. Over weight. Puffy faced. Even with access to plastic surgery. So much anxiety.

How many have cut the cord over the last few years? It is no wonder that people have stopped listening to drivel from weirdos about weirdos.

Blah blah blah is all I heard... cry me a river.

It amazes me that people take PROFESSIONAL LIARS/PRETENDERS (i.e. ACTORS) so seriously.

It's time to stop these acceptance speeches from being political/issue statements. That's why I stopped watching any award show a long long time ago

Trans people AREN’T being persecuted. In fact, they’re shoving their ideas into our faces everywhere. It’s disgusting, but no one’s persecuting them. So for her to say this is so INACCURATE. People are free to wear whatever underwear they want.

Hollywood bullshit.

PattyArquette That's sad, but there are only two genders, oh and congrats
