The Army Corps says the streambank protection it is funding will fix a 325-foot section of the street and public utilities that are threatened by “prior slope failures and significant ongoing instability.” Thesays the project will shore up a retaining wall “which continues to be monitored for erosion issues.” The project’s total cost is $3.9 million and construction is scheduled to start this summer.
