I always pick my random number to be '3'.

Algorithm and/or Hardware: no 'tricks'.

True randomness, IF true, combined with self-programming might create an AI that simulates consciousness. But it wouldn’t be governed by conscience or emotion and would be dangerously unpredictable. It’d be stupid to create something like this and give it tools. SKYNET anyone?

Why do motherboards not just come with radios to generate random numbers out of background radiation (like static on an old analog tv)? I’m pretty sure that’s how lottery ticket machines work. Too expensive?

Someone with an atomic clock produces better random results. It is now necessary to switch to hardware encryption, not software encryption.Each piece of hardware must be manufactured in a unique way, unique to the person.
