they really had something here… they needed to advertise it better. i just found out about the show in april. 🙀 That's sooooooo bad ... This is ridiculous. If it were a show portrayal of black drug dealers , it would still be on the air. Fox is so not slick. Subpar show got exactly what it needed. Noooooooooooooooooooo

Dammit I gave it a chance and hoped Fox would give it a second season. I can’t believe this I want to see what happens in season two…why FOXTV I swear the culture was everything. I watched every week just to see how she was rocking the natural hair If the family was rich from drug crime or music industry, it would get seven seasons. This was a good show. I’m weary.

I like that show 😐

Shit well tell me who shot what’s her name. Cause I think now but I need to actually know. Fox is another racists network, I'm not surprised. It wasn't giving a chance. It got so much better towards the end. Season 2 would have seal it to many more seasons. Bet should have pick it up. This is a disgrace

So we won't know who shot Leah ? 😕 They know they wrong for this! Especially since the finale had all those plot twists! SMH! Terrible news!😩😢

It evoked comparisons to the Lee-co-created Empire , which had a very successful run on the network but linear ratings were soft. But she soon discovers a dark secret about her own mother’s past that will turn her world upside-down and shake up this community forever. But Ross, incredibly, has fresh takes to offer both on their relationship and on the health crisis which comes to dominate their lives, and she introduces Lissette’s lasagna-making mother into the mix without turning her and her Boston accent into a cliché of maternal overreach. The show is a soapy, thrilling exploration of race and class in America and an unapologetic celebration of Black resilience and achievement. But when she discovers a huge secret, her life becomes intertwined with a powerful Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts family who are not keen to welcome Angela and her daughter to the neighborhood. Along with DaCosta (“Chicago Med,” “Whitney”), “Our Kind of People” stars Morris Chestnut (“The Resident”), Joe Morton (“Scandal”), Nadine Ellis (“Let’s Stay Together”), Lance Gross (“Hawaii 5-0”), Rhyon Nicole Brown (“Empire”), Kyle Bary (“Ginny & Georgia”) and newcomer Alana Bright.
