Opinion | Why I stopped being nice, and ended up screaming at a nun

When it was time for my long Sunday run, I designed a circuitous route that avoided the church, using streets I rarely ran, because I didn't want to see the crosses again. Plus, I was afraid I might bump into the nun. Halfway in, I couldn't believe what I saw: the nun herself walking up the hill toward me! My mouth went dry, and I felt dread. And then, strangely, peace.

She accepted my apology and reiterated that she was sorry, too, about my pain and that she had thought about me that week. "I was afraid of bumping into you," she replied."So I walked a route I don't usually walk." We both laughed.

THINK Your motto should be, Get Ye Behind Me Satin. Everyone goes through periods of frustration and your no different. To Embrace rage is to embrace that which is tearing apart the world. Be at peace with yourself and keep the faith.

THINK We all need validation, and we all need to acknowledge our frustration. Probably best to maintain a few social conventions, just to keep from burning our bridges, but ok to vent some stream. Just don't channel your inner Taxi Driver in public.
