My wife and I don't for one minute pretend to know what it's like to be black, but we know we want to be part of the solution for our adopted little girl.

George Floyd's death, which was caught on video, allowed everyone to see what the black community has endured for decades.

We don't for one minute pretend to know what it's like to be black, but we know we want to be part of the solution to create a more inclusive and just world.Alex Wong | Getty Images Floyd's death, which was caught on video, allowed everyone to see what the black community has endured for decades. He is one of many black people who have died at the hands of police and have become symbols of our broken society, as have the protests erupting across the nation.

We wanted to adopt in order to share our love and open our home to a child who needed a family. While going through the process and learning about adopting a baby of a different race, we were given valuable training to prepare us for what a black child being raised by white parents might face. The adoption agency opened our eyes to the danger of the term "color blind." Although well intended, it is akin to saying you don't see what is happening to minorities.

Maybe explain to daughter that across the USA inner City people have horrible academic scores and should take full responsibility. This leads to being much less employable, and 87 % of violent crime against blacks are by blacks

What was captured on video has happened before with no-cameras. Whites and blacks are hurting. Coming from an educated mixed background, I have heard both sides of the racial argument. Racism and economic inequality is wrong! God is watching and life is short. Protest=fair wage?

What about our white daughter? Hispanic daughter? Asian daughter?

Make sure she knows there is no such thing as White Privilege. There's poor people and well to do people, dumb people and smart people. Anyone can do anything.

When will the US ban the police from catching thieves and murderers?

We need to raise our children to be responsible and respectful not blaming someone else for their failure .

Lots of opinions

Don’t u think, u r becoming negative, instead of helping find n build a solution. Nt every black person is killed or every white person is racist, DONT generalize. Police reforms, stronger laws, sensitisation is most critical starting NOW. N keep away frm extreme left or right 🙏

no babies out of wedlock graduate high school don't give them trophies for losing equation's pretty simple. oh, and don't rape or beat them

You need to make sure the father stays around. That’s the key to all these problems.

Raise her far away from anyplace run by leftist, race-baiting, anarchy supporting Democrats?

ALL LIVES MATTER: celebrities should not be bailing out protester criminals. Looters smashing business windows setting police cars on Fire. Bail out the innocent people arrested.

Op-ed: Why social media CEOs like Zuckerberg and Dorsey secretly like fueling debate over fake newsThe social media war between President Trump and Twitter over free speech, hate speech and content moderation shows again that tech CEOs prefer to argue over fake news than real regulation. No. It cane be. You mean maybe just maybe they don’t care about you or me. That they care about fueling hate and clicks on their websites for MONEY? nooooooo. That’s crazy talk. Corp greed is at hand everywhere. Hold on a second there. Wasn't Sheryl Sandberg an influential driver of the way Facebook came to be used, which in turn put it in closer competition with Twitter.
