A pregnant woman trying to order a coffee at Starbucks was shamed by a barista – and it was all transcribed on Twitter by comedian Tiffany Stevenson.

to do. And then they like to judge them if they don’t listen to their usually non-expert advice.

There’s no better example than this one, where Tiffany Stevenson, a comedian and third-party observer to a very infuriating exchange, had to look on in shock as a Starbucks barista in the United Kingdom tried to stop the pregnant woman in front of her from ordering a coffee drink. “Unbelievable bit of womb bothering in Starbucks at services,” she tweets. “A pregnant woman got her Caramel Macchiato and the guy behind the counter said ‘Oh , it’s for you.

Unbelievable bit of womb bothering in Starbucks at services . A pregnant woman got her Caramel Macchiato and the guy behind the counter saidHim ‘No I should because caffeine is bad for the baby’It was a flabbergasting situation, although we do have to pause here to appreciate Stevenson’s use of the phrase, “womb bothering,” which we will file away for future use., but then the barista stands his ground, too.

Then Stevenson intervenes, in hopes that the ridiculousness will stop, everyone can get their coffee, and no one will be murdered for mansplaining pregnancy health hazards to a pregnant person. Then he continues to try and justify policing a complete stranger for 5 minutes. He was maybe 30 years old max. There’s been a lot of research about the effect of caffeine on fetuses, but not much of it is conclusive and not much of it has been conducted on humans.

Ummmm, so are you telling me that baristas AREN’T as educated and informed as obstetricians

I had a McDonald’s worker do that to me. Eight days overdue and all I wanted was a freaking McDonald’s coke. The guy told me it was too hot and I was too pregnant to be drinking soda and the caffeine would hurt my baby. He nearly lost his life!

The way these kids drain the life out of you, it’s a miracle I DIDN’T binge drink caffeine 🤣

I had a coworker do that to me and I asked her when she became my doctor and to mind her own fucking business and she looked at me like I was in the wrong 🙄

Chekhov’s trip to Sakhalin puts lockdown in perspectiveChekhov’s aim was to publicise the conditions at the Russian penal colony—which make the confinement of lockdown look like paradise Are the prisoners mostly Slav Russians like Putin or the pure blood and the soil indigenous Russians, also known as Asian Russians? Comparing the lockdowns to a Russian penal colony and concluding we are better off in our lockdowns?! Well I would hope so. But am I supposed to be grateful for the lockdown since I didn’t get sent to Siberia? Ferdinand Ossendowski gives a detailed description of a visit to Sakhalin in his book ‘Man and Mystery in Asia’ (my copy is in German: ‘In den Dschungeln der Wälder und Menschen‘, Part III, 1924). And yes, it was indeed Hell.
