Rhodes, 56, is being charged for the first time in connection to events leading up to and on, according to a statement Thursday from the Justice Department. An additional 10 people, including nine others who already face separate charges in connection to the riot, were also indicted.

The defendants conspired in a variety of ways, including organizing into teams that were "prepared and willing to use force and to transport firearms and ammunition into Washington, D.C.," the DOJ said, citing the indictment. “They just added the charge without any revelations,” he said. “I don’t think the facts alleged support the charge of seditious conspiracy."As of late December

Moseley, in an email to NBC News earlier in the day, said he was on the phone with Rhodes when the FBI came to his house to arrest him Thursday. The attorney said they were talking about a scheduled appearance before the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot when the FBI called Rhodes.
