O'Rourke's plan includes a ban on assault-style weapons and for the federal government to buy back firearms, including AK-47s and AR-15s, for a"fair price" -- or otherwise face a fine.Pressed by CNN's Alisyn Camerota Wednesday on how he planned to get assault-style weapons from people who would be reluctant to hand them over, O'Rourke, a former US representative from Texas, insisted that Americans would abide by the law."It's pretty simple.
"O'Rourke also said he is not suggesting a door-to-door"confiscation" of firearms and cited Australia as an example of a country that implemented a mandatory buyback program in response to a mass shooting.O'Rourke proposed in August a mandatory buyback for assault-style weapons and a voluntary buyback program for handguns in the wake of a mass shooting in his hometown of El Paso, Texas.
The “journalists” are morons is the only struggle I could see.
OH FFS He didn't struggle. Heroin is illegal. Stealing peoples stuff is illegal. Cocaine is illegal. How do we handle it when people break those laws? The question was just shockingly stupid.
Im just here for the ratio
Only thing struggling is y'alls ratings!
Jfc, no. He didn't struggle to explain anything. What a bullshit narrative. It's simple. There won't be a door to door confiscation. After a buyback period expires, it will be illegal to possess specific weapons. Charges follow. Period. It's really not complicated at all.
The real struggle is trying to be a reputable news source. also struggles to realize if you break the law and are caught, you're arrested, fined and/or imprisoned. Possessing/consuming heroin is illegal. If you're caught w/ it you're arrested. See? RocketScience
Your host was the one who struggled and fvcked up the interview. Take responsibility for your own failures. Hold your people accountable. MediaWTF
I think YOU struggled to understand that criminals DON'T have options. If you speed, do you have the option of NOT getting speeding ticket? If you possess drug, do you have the option of not going to jail? I don't think police will go door to door on this. cc:BetoORourke
CNN and Donald trump are the same.
I watched it and understood what he was saying. How does any law get enforced against a criminal
BULLSH*T. I saw it myself. Alison whatever her name has never treated a Republican with such disdain. He has explained his plan several times already. Don't be lazy. Do your homework.
No he didn't.
He means he would have the police kick our doors in and murder us. Duh!
Since 2004, Senator Feinstein has repeatedly introduced legislation to ban 'assault weapons'. Her bills include lists (by model number) of guns banned, and guns exempted from the ban. One of these rifles is on the 'banned' list, and the other is on the 'exempt' list.
O'Rourke should have been ready for that question.
YOUR FAKE NEWS
Criminals don't comply with the law as it is and the thing is he's only gonna be able to confiscate guns registered. Guns obtained illegally he wont be able to confiscate in fact law enforcement will get shot in the process of confiscation.
He needs to run for governor.
CNN
BetoORourke has been a struggle from day one... It shows the intelligence of the DNC that they believe he's a contender
Door to door sounds like his idiot approach. Gee that would end well
Maybe he should’ve explained in Spanish
ExposeCNN Project_Veritas Zucker this basically tells it all
What criminals?
🗣️
That doesn’t mean it’s a bad idea...
If Joe Biden son was doing nothing wrong why would he quit his job on a board . because he was doing something wrong
“Criminals” = your average everyday freedom loving Americans who do not believe in unconstitutional laws.
